Learning to learn:

A special pathway enabling all our young people

to achieve as much as they possibly can and to flourish in adult life

Where are they now?

A Visitor from a long time ago

Derek left West Hill in 1974, that’s four decades ago! He dropped by to see how things had changed, and noticed that some things had not changed. Derek went to work at Boot’s in Kingston after leaving West Hill, and he is celebrating four decades of service there this year. Congratulations to Derek and to Boot’s for this great record.

Class of 2014

As a celebration of the Year 11s achievements and for them to say goodbye as they move on from West Hill this summer, the Leavers’ Prom, at the Cobham Curve, was a great success. Fortified by an excellent buffet supper pupils, staff and parents danced…and danced. There was a lot of laughter and a few tears – indications of a very successful event. West Hill would like to thank the staff at the Cobham Curve for their support and for helping to make the evening so special. A big thank you also to the Leatherhead Rotary Club for their generous donation, as well as for lending us Rotary club members Simon Edmands and Fiona Miles for the evening. As our official photographer on the night, Simon managed to keep one eye on conversation and the other on photo opportunities. Finally a big thank you to our own Liz Stacey for her flair and organisation skills. Good luck and very best wishes to our Leavers. We are missing you already.
